Iceland Subaru

Can the Hybrid Crosstrek XV really take on tough terrain and keep on going? To find out for sure, Subaru took a number of auto reviewers to Iceland in November.

Iceland’s terrain is mountainous, rocky, extremely windy, and of course, snowy. The trip was originally planned for September but logistical issues got in the way. Two days before the reviewers were due to arrive, Iceland got their first winter snowstorm of the year. Winds…

Inside Subaru’s Zero-Waste Factory

A recent article on the Take Part website takes an in-depth look at Subaru’s zero-waste factory in Indiana. Subaru has revolutionized the way car manufacturing impacts the environment, going zero-waste over the past decade. That means that nothing from this factory has gone to the dump in ten years.

Instead, all potential waste is recycled, repurposed, or reused. And in all that time, as the American auto industry as a whole has lost hundreds…

If you’ve wondered about the new WRX’s capacity as a rally car, be sure to watch for when the WRX turns the corner quickly…

Subaru, Pilots, and Paws

Every year, thousands of dogs are sent to shelters in hopes that they will be adopted. Unfortunately, many areas have far more dogs seeking owners than people seeking dogs. This can be a particular problem in rural areas where there is little foot traffic at shelters. At the same time, there are shelters in other areas where pets are adopted quickly because of high demand for four-legged friends.

Subaru helps provide resources needed to transport…

2015 WRX or 2014 BRZ?

One car blogger has posed an intriguing question: if you had $30,000 to spend on any sports car you wanted, what would you buy? The author says that there are only two sports cars in that price range on the market right now that warrant attention, the 2014 BRZ and 2015 WRX.

But how do you decide between the two? In the end, the author decides he would buy a WRX because of the sheer practicality of the car when compared to the BRZ. The BRZ, he writes, is a more track-sport car but doesn’t meet all his…
