Driving at Night

Driving can be dangerous, even in an incredibly safe vehicle like a Subaru. After all, you’re barreling down the road at high speeds in over a ton of metal, flying past other people doing the same thing. While owning a safe vehicle is a great way to make driving safer, safety is largely up to the driver.

Many of the dangers your encounter on the road are apparent and fairly easy to avoid. If the roads are icy, you decrease our speed. If you’re sharing the road with a reckless driver, you give them space and keep your…

Kelley Blue Book recently placed the 2015 Subaru Outback on the list of 15 Best Family Cars. While the new Outback definitely has features that families will love, the Subaru Outback has been a big hit with families for years now. So what makes the Outback such a great family vehicle?

Cruising Through States in a Subaru

Most people don't really think about the shape of the states. You could probably sketch out your home state and then some of the truly recognizable ones like California, Oklahoma, or Texas, but if someone told you to draw West Virginia or New Hampshire, you might be in trouble. However, the History Channel has a show that is all about the way that states are shaped. And it relies on a Subaru.

Would You "Live In It To Win It"?

There have been some truly strange endurance contests over the years. Sometimes, as is the case with the World Sauna Championship, the contestants are in it for the fame, pride, or glory. Other times, people compete in these strange events to win a new car. A man in China stood on one leg for nearly 7 ½ hours to win a BMW.

A Subaru dealership in Montana held one of these endurance competitions, although it was nowhere near as outlandish as cooking in a sauna or doing a Karate Kid impersonation.

They called the contest "Live In It To Win It…

Subaru Legacy’s Zero Death Rate

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recorded that the Subaru Legacy has a zero death rate. The study looked at the number of deaths per million registered vehicles. The Legacy is one of only 9 vehicles to have death rates of zero, and one of only two mid-size sedans to make it onto that list. The other vehicles on the list are SUVs or Minivans.  There's no doubt that the Legacy is a safe vehicle; however, this IIHS study isn’t the best way to show that. The IIHS looked at multi-vehicl

What's in a Name?

For some people, a vehicle is just that. It gets them where they need to go, but for others, a car is more than just something that gets you from your starting point to your destination. Keeping an Eye on the Other Drivers

You might be a great driver, but not everyone is. It would be wonderful if driving well meant that you were immune to accidents on the road, but that’s just not the case. Often times, other drivers are the most dangerous part about driving. It’s important that you drive safely – signal, go the speed limit, wear your seatbelt, etc. – but it's also important to keep an eye on the drivers that are around you.

In fact, being aware of other drivers is crucial to being a good driver. It doesn't matter that you have the right…
