Subaru’s Indiana Plant Damaged by Tornadoes


On Monday, Subaru’s Indiana plant stopped operations to clean up damage done by storms that ravaged the area. The plant suffered roof damage, broken glass, blown debris, and water damage. Part of the roof even collapsed onto a few finished Subarus that will now have to be recycled. Fortunately, the damage is in mostly non-essential areas and Subaru’s plant has done a good job of making sure conditions are safe for workers. Many of the trees in the green area outside of the plant were damaged in the high winds.

Subaru at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show



In just a few weeks, Subaru is going to unveil some new concepts at the Tokyo Motor Show. Starting November 22, get ready for more anticipation about the direction Subaru is headed. Already, Subaru has announced they will be revealing a new touring car concept called the Levorg, a combination of “legacy,” “revolution,” and “touring.” The teaser pictures, which are slim outlines of what the concept car looks like, show a svelte but muscular looking car, which has viewers speculating wildly about the eventual product.
