Subaru’s Record Sales

Subaru of America sold over 500,000 vehicles in 2014. While this number is nowhere near Honda's nearly 1.4 million vehicle sales, it’s still a record year and the best to date for Subaru in the United States. This is the first time that Subaru has hit the 500,000 mark, a truly incredible accomplishment.

Big sales by other car manufacturers might seem to dwarf Subaru’s accomplishment, but when you put the numbers into perspective, it actually does the opposite. While Subaru made little more than a third as many sales as companies like Honda and…

Subaru Rear Technology

The only thing safer than driving in a Subaru is not driving at all. Subaru is known for making the safest cars on the market. The designers and engineers are constantly trying to build upon and improve the safety of already incredibly safe vehicles. Making Your Subaru Your Own

Subaru owners typically go against the grain. Why do everything like everyone else when you can do things your own way? Subaru vehicles allow people to step outside the box, go places others can't go, and do things others won't do. So why not make your Subaru as unique as you are?

Subaru Forester Retains Resale Value

Subaru vehicles are known for having high resale value. When you consider that a Subaru will keep running until the wheels fall off, and that Subaru owners are known for the TLC they show their vehicles, it would be surprising if Subaru vehicles didn't have high resale value.

According to a study conducted by Edmunds, a new car loses about 11% of its value once you drive off the lot, 15-25% each year for the first five years, and after 5 years, your vehicle is worth 37% of what it was worth when you bought it off the lot…

XV Crosstrek Won’t be Made in the States

Subaru typically likes to build vehicles where they are going to be sold. Well, at the very least on the same continent. It’s not really practical to do some small batch type Subaru assembly in each and every town that has a dealership. If you're going to buy a Subaru in the United States, it was probably made at the Subaru plant in Lafayette, Indiana. However, that's not the case with the XV Crosstrek.

The Crosstrek is manufactured in Japan and then shipped to the U.S. where there is a huge demand for the crossover SUV…

Six-Cylinder Sales Slip

Global sales for six-cylinder vehicles have been dropping steadily. Whatever the reasons car buyers have for shying away from bigger engines, the fact remains that six-cylinders are down and four-cylinder engines are up. Subaru has never been one to idly sit by. The company keeps up with consumers and keeps their interests and concerns in mind in order to make informed decisions. While there hasn’t been any official word, many are wondering if Subaru will shy away from six-cylinder engines and focus more on four.

Subaru engineer Yoichi Hori recently commented on the declining interest for vehicles equipped with…
