Subaru vehicles are known for having high resale value. When you consider that a Subaru will keep running until the wheels fall off, and that Subaru owners are known for the TLC they show their vehicles, it would be surprising if Subaru vehicles didn't have high resale value.

According to a study conducted by Edmunds, a new car loses about 11% of its value once you drive off the lot, 15-25% each year for the first five years, and after 5 years, your vehicle is worth 37% of what it was worth when you bought it off the lot. While many who buy a Subaru plan on taking it with them to the grave, there are some who are planning to trade-in or resell their vehicle in the future. Since they don’t want to see the value of their newly purchased vehicle depreciate down to nothing, they go with Subaru. Subaru’s high resale value is just one of the reasons it’s becoming one of the most popular brands in the United States.

A recent report from the NADA named the 2015 Subaru Forester as one of the top reselling vehicles. The Forester has a higher resale value than any other SUV on the market, and comes in at the second highest resale vehicle overall, behind the Chevrolet Stingray. However, the Forester is less than half the price of the Stingray, which makes it an even more appealing purchase for car buyers looking to resell their vehicle.

The Forester retains 81.8% of the suggested retail price value, which is a full 3% better than the third best vehicle for resale value, the Toyota Highlander.

High resale value isn't the only reason to buy a Forester, though. Top Safety Pick ratings fro the IIHS, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, tons of cargo space, and unrivaled reliability are all pretty good reasons too!
