Subaru has some new wacky videos out about how their unique systems work. With a mime to demonstrate, Subaru breaks down the complexities of the Boxer Engine, the AWD system, and the CVT into small real-world examples so you can fully understand the Subaru difference. Check out these three short videos from Subaru WOW! to see how these features work:
The unique Subaru Boxer Engine is the most stable format for an engine, allowing for your vehicle to be safer, more efficient, and less noisy. Instead of the V and In-Line formats, Subarus use the Boxer Engine to achieve better results.
Many things in nature are symmetrical, especially things that need a lot of a balance. It's no wonder why our eyes like balance-it's important to our survival. Subaru used that concept in developing their AWD system. It makes sense to make all-wheel drive systems equally balanced, doesn't it?
When you're using a bike, you choose the right gear for the terrain you're on, using an easier gear for hills to make it to the top and a different gear to take advantage of flat areas. On a regular car, you have to go through gears to be able to take advantage of the terrain and how you're operating the car to be the most efficient. But when you take that out of the equation, you don't have to worry about gears and can just drive while getting the most efficiency possible. Instead of having to go through gears to get to the desired one, a CVT system goes immediately to the desired position.
