Subaru Closes 2016 Season with 1-2 Finish at Lake Superior Performance Rally

 

Subaru driver David Higgins and his co-driver Craig Drew capped off another impressive championship run by dominating the final round of the 2016 Rally America National Championship at the Lake Superior Performance Rally (LSPR).  The win affirmed Higgins 6th straight Rally America title, while earning Subaru the Manufacturer’s Championship. Higgins’ Subaru teammates Travis Pastrana and co-driver Robbie Durant finished second in their matching Open Class Subaru WRX STI rally car.

Subaru of America, Inc. released the full lap video of its record shattering lap of the Isle of Man TT Course.  Piloted by Mark Higgins, the 2016 Subaru WRX STI Time Attack car broke the lap record two weeks ago on the fabled 37-mile Isle of Man TT Road Course with an average lap speed of 128.73 mph and a time of 17 minutes and 35 seconds. Bucky Lasek To Make Gravel Rally Debut at New England Forest Rally

 

Subaru Rally Team USA announced today that team driver Bucky Lasek will make his gravel rally debut at the New England Forest Rally (July 15-16). Lasek has driven for Subaru in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship since 2012 but has not competed in traditional stage rally until this year when he entered the ice and snow laden Sno*Drift Rally in January.  Lasek will drive a 2016 Super Production class WRX STI presented by Subaru Parts Online with Co-driver Rhianon Gelsomino at his side.
