One of the best things about Subaru is how dedicated the company is to supporting so many incredible causes, both locally and nationally. Love means being more than a car company — it’s about making the world a better place. As your local Subie dealer, Adventure Subaru is committed to keeping that promise too. This month, we’re excited to be teamed up with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to spread hope, love and warmth to those fighting cancer. We hope you will join us!
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the largest nonprofit organization currently dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers. The organization has invested more than $1.2 billion over the years, contributing to cutting-edge research that laid the groundwork for many of today’s most innovative methods. LLS puts an incredible amount of work and time into finding cures and making sure that patients have access to the lifesaving treatments they need.
Every 3 minutes, a new patient in the U.S. is diagnosed with blood cancer. This month, we are donating blankets to cancer patients who tend to get cold during treatment. We will also deliver arts and crafts kits to hospitals and cancer treatment centers. Since 2015, Subaru has donated 68,000 blankets and 4,750 arts and crafts kits to cancer patients. We want to help grow that number even more.
So, how can you help? We’re glad you asked! You can help us bring hope to those battling cancer by coming into our showroom and writing your personal message of hope on a card. These messages, along with blankets, will be hand-delivered to cancer patients later in the month at Highlands Oncology Group. We’ll also give you a free Subaru Loves to Care tote to take home with you!
It doesn’t stop there, though. Here at Adventure Subaru, we wanted to go a step further to help out people in need. Through the end of July, we’re also holding a Subaru Loves to Help campaign that’s all about helping infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and their families.
You can help us help those families during their stay in NICU by donating new and unused infant items to our supply drive for the Jackson L. Graves Foundation. Come on in and donate any time between now and the end of July! Here are some examples of great items to donate:
Plastic baby toys - plastic rattles - plastic crib mobiles - baby board books - baby-safe crib mirrors - baby toiletries - adult fleece blankets - gift cards for parents - card games for the waiting room
If you bring in your donated items on or before June 27th, you’ll also be entered to win two tickets to the 14th annual Red, White & Baby Blue benefitting the Jackson L. Graves Foundation. It will be held on Friday, June 29th at 7 pm at the Garden Room in Fayetteville. If you win, we’ll contact you directly by the evening of Wednesday, June 27th.
