Lake Fort Smith State Park is the perfect day trip or weekend retreat for your whole family. And yes, that includes the furry ones! You might want to load up your 2017 Subaru Forester with all your outdoor gear, because there’s a lot of adventuring to be done. We love the idea of sitting on a patio drinking craft beer with our most loyal companions. (Well, we’ll drink the beer, they can have water!). Bricktown Brewery serves pub-style eats and offers a variety of beers on tap. You and your doggos can enjoy the spacious patio while you chill, and you can go walk it off afterwards. The brewery is located close to Belle Point, which is a great spot to go for a walk along the river.
Ed Walker’s Drive-In & Restaurant
You and your best friend can travel back in time to the 1950s at Ed Walker’s Drive-In. They offer delicious classic dishes in a throwback setting, and you never even have to get out of your Forester. The atmosphere is fun, the service is great, and you absolutely must try their famous French Dipped Sandwich. Sparky can have a bite, too.
