Subaru’s Philosophy

Your philosophy is the way that you look at life. It’s your set of beliefs or values that help guide your thoughts and actions. Subaru's philosophy is pretty simple. It's a commitment to making great quality vehicles, dedication to good business practices, and making a positive impact on the world. 

The Subaru philosophy can be summarized by the Subaru Corporate Responsibility policy. The policy is made up of five basic principles that define Subaru's values and commitments. 

·         Adhere to the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all business transactions. It doesn't matter how good your vehicles are if you have unethical business practices. It's the responsibility of a company to ensure that they implement good business practices on all levels.

·         Employ environmental practices and considerations that help protect and preserve the environment. The Subaru plant in Indiana has maintained zero-landfill status for more than a decade. Why? Because it is the right thing to do. Our environment is precious and we have to do what we can to take care of it.

·         Support the community through philanthropic investments of grants and volunteering. Being involved with and giving back to the community are extremely important. Whether it's organizing events, or making contributions to charity through things like the annual Share the Love event, Subaru is committed to strengthening communities.

·         Actively protect the health and safety of our employees, customers and the general public. There's a reason why Subaru vehicles are often identified with an active and outdoorsy lifestyle. Not only are Subaru vehicles perfect for people who like to camp, bike, hike, and climb, but the company is dedicated to promoting good health and safety.

·         Maintain employment policies and practices that promote fairness, equal opportunity and diversity. Fairness and equality are important in any context. Subaru's employment policies promote both.
