Anyone who has ever been to one of America’s national parks knows just how incredible they are. Once you look out over Yosemite Valley or climb to the top of Grand Teton, you understand why people travel from all over the world just to witness the beauty that our national parks have to offer. Preserving that beauty is why Subaru offered to help the National Park Service achieve zero-landfill status in a few of our nation's most visited parks.

However, not everyone is quite so impressed by what our national parks bring to the table. You can find a number of one-star national park reviews online that will either make you laugh out loud or cringe, depending on your mood. Here are a few real examples of reviews that explain why national parks are no good.

Yellowstone National Park

·     "Our visit was wonderful but we never saw any Bears. Please train your bears to be where guests can see them. This was an expensive trip to not get to see Bears”.

"Their gift shops are a rip off! i bought a sweater that was way too much and it shrank so much after the first wash that it doesn't fit anymore (it was baggy when i bought it..."

Yosemite National Park

·       "We drove into the park and were unable to find parking ANYWHERE. After two hours of searching for a parking space, we ended up leaving the park without using our $150 tram tickets. It is completely over-crowded and shame on park officials for taking $30 per vehicle with no concern as to whether you will have a place to park the vehicle or not. How about you cut down the surrounding burned trees and make another parking lot or five."

Grand Canyon National Park

·         "Whoopity do, Grand Canyon.  You are a giant hole in the ground.  You were caused by erosion.  You don't have roller coasters or dippin' dots.  Jeeesh.  Can you say 'overrated'?"

As you can see by these reviews, some people just cannot be impressed. Those national park reviews are all real, mostly coming from Yelp. However, we thought it would be fun to imagine what these reviewers might have to say about Subaru vehicles. Here are some fictional one star Subaru reviews.

Subaru Outback

·         "I bought an Outback because I heard it was the perfect family vehicle.  However there is just too much interior space. If I wanted to be that far away from my family, I would have left them at home. One star."

Subaru Legacy

·         "I just don't understand why anyone would want a vehicle that's this safe. I mean, it's only one of 9 vehicles on the IIHS zero death rate list. Call me old fashioned, but I just think that cars should be more exciting. Snoozeville. One star."

Subaru Forester

·         "Symmetrical All-Wheel drive?! Are you kidding me?! I'm a big fan of donuts, both the bakery variety and the rubber burning variety. The Forester and its confounded AWD just won't let me lose control and fire off some donuts. I am not amused. One star.”
