Subaru vehicles can take you to some truly incredible places. More importantly, a Subaru can help you build some incredible memories along the way. But no matter how amazing and vivid those memories are they tend to get fuzzy over time. Some people will tell you that you will hold on to the ones that matter, but sometimes the details can get a little skewed, and even those great and important memories can get lost in time.

The solution to preserving memories from all your great travels and adventures is simple, really. All you have to do is document your travels.

You don't have to be a brilliant wordsmith or possess a formidable wit to write about your travels. You don’t need a fancy camera or an eye for photography to capture a funny incident or a breathtaking view. All that you have to do is write a few words and snap a few pictures to the best of your abilities. Keep track of your travels for yourself and for your family. It can be a lot of fun to look back at the things that you've done and the places that you’ve seen.

Write down what happens on your adventures, and write while your experiences are still fresh in your mind. You will appreciate having something to remember your travels by. There’s nothing like that wave of nostalgia that comes from reading an old log of your journeys. Plus, it can be fun for your children to read about the things that you did or places that you visited when you were younger.

Here are some options to consider:

  • Use social media, like Instagram or Pinterest, to save and display your memories. Remember, though, that your memories will always belong to Instagram, not to you, and if Instagram goes, they'll go too. If you take this route, make a back up somewhere were you can reach it.
  • Start a blog on a free platform like Blogger.com or WordPress.com. Your blog belongs to you, but you'll still need to make a back up now and then.
  • Go old-school with pen and paper for the longest life for your memories. Remember, the weakest ink is stronger than the strongest memory.

You travel for the experience. Subaru can get you there, but preserving those memories is up to you!
