Subaru's annual Share the Love event is underway! There’s never a bad time to buy a Subaru, but the Share the Love event is a great time to buy a Subaru. Not only are you getting vehicle that is safe, capable, and reliable, but you're also contributing to a good cause in the process. From now until January 2nd, Subaru will donate $250 to a charity for every Subaru vehicle that is bought or leased.

There's no catch, qualifier, or caveat; if you buy or lease a Subaru during this event, you get to choose one of the charities that Subaru has selected to receive a donation. Those charities are: the ASPCA, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Meals On Wheels America, the National Park Foundation, or a local charity.

  • The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was founded in 1866, making it the first humane society in North America. Last year, the ASPCA rescued or assisted more than 14,300 animals, found homes for 3,800 animals from the ASPCA Adoption Center, granted $14.4 million to animal welfare organizations, and helped spay and neuter over 42,500 animals.
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation helps grant the wish of children who are diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. According to the Make-A-Wish website, a wish is granted every 37 minutes in the United States and its territories. This couldn't be possible without the volunteers, donors, and supporters of the foundation.
  • In the United States, 9.3 million senior citizens struggle with hunger, and ¼ of seniors live in isolation. The health of seniors is an important issue, and Meals On Wheels America helps by providing meals for seniors in need. Through this program, $1,600 can provide a year of meals.
  • Our national parks have been called America’s best idea, and it's easy to see why. Earlier this year, Subaru announced that it would be assisting the National Park Service achieve zero-landfill status. The National Park Foundation has long been the official charitable partner of the National Park Service, and has worked to protect and promote national parks since 1967.

So far, the Share the Love Program has helped raise $50 million for charities. The goal for this year's 8th annual Share the Love event is to raise an additional $15 million. If you’ve been toying with the idea of buying a new Subaru, take advantage of this opportunity to get even more out of your purchase, and help make a contribution to one of these great charities.
