Safety First

There are plenty of surprising things in the world. You can boil water in a paper cup; that's pretty surprising. The fact that ketchup was sold as medicine in the 1800s is surprising. However, people who are familiar with Subaru won’t be surprised to learn that every 2015 model in the Subaru lineup earned Top Safety Pick ratings from the IIHS.

"Safety first" is something parents can't help but say, and children can't stand to hear. For parents, this incantation keeps kids safe and prevents a stress filled trip to the emergency room. For children, the phrase does little more than delay fun and herald the embarrassment that comes with an oversized bicycle helmet and painfully dorky wrist guards. With age comes wisdom and the realization that remaining intact and injury-free might not be so dorky, and may very well be considered "pretty cool". 

Subaru takes pride in making vehicles that will keep you as safe as possible. When you're out there scaling rock faces, paddling through rapids, or hiking solitary stretches of forest for days at a time, you might as well have a vehicle that can get you there safely! "Safety first" is more than a catch phrase to Subaru. It's a philosophy.

Subaru is constantly pushing to make their vehicles better in every aspect. There's always room for improvement, and safety is no exception. It's great if a vehicle runs forever, is ultra reliable, and can go anywhere you want it to go. All of these are true for Subaru, but they don't mean a thing if you aren't safe in your vehicle.

Every 2015 Subaru model, the BRZ, Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback, WRX, and XV Crosstrek, received top marks for safety from the IIHS. Vehicle manufacturers are thrilled if one of their models receives a Top Safety Pick, but it's nothing short of remarkable for every single model in a company's line up to achieve this status.
