The list of reasons to love Subaru just keeps growing. The company has been gaining loyal customers over the years by building a reputation for well-made, long-lasting, and incredibly safe vehicles that can tackle any type of terrain or condition. Subaru is also known for their part in protecting the environment with green initiatives and environmental stewardship. Those are all valuable qualities, but now there's a new reason to buy a Subaru. Kelley Blue Book just named Subaru as the best resale value brand for 2015!
Now, Subaru wasn't just chosen as the best all-wheel drive brand, or the best brand that used to be summed up as quirky. Subaru was named 2015 best overall resale value brand. There's no qualifier or asterisk; 2015 Subarus will keep their value better than any other make of vehicle after 5 years.
This isn't the first time that Subaru has won the top spot for resale value from Kelley Blue Book. The last time that Subaru was named as the top brand was in 2011.
So, if you bought a Subaru back in 2011, it's time to cash in on that high resale value and make a new investment!
In addition to winning the top brand award, Subaru won three categories. The Subaru Impreza won best resale value for the compact car category, the Subaru WRX won the sporty compact car category, and the Subaru Legacy won the mid-size car category.
The Impreza is projected to retain 61.3% of its value after 36 months and 47.1% after 60 months. The WRX retains 64.2% after 36 months and 49.4% after 60 months. The Legacy retains 61.8% of its value after 36 months and 44.3% after 60 months.
While many people choose to drive their Subaru until it is old enough to legally drink, others prefer to keep current. Subaru vehicles allow for either. You can either drive your Subaru into the dirt, or you can take advantage of the high resale value and buy a new Subaru every few years.
