The newest episode of Launch Control is out and you'll find a new face in the Subaru team. Travis Pastrana, while new to Launch Control, isn't a stranger to the Team Subaru crew. He drove for Subaru years ago and ended his career in rally -- but not forever. Watch the episode below to find out why Travis moved on and why he's back:
Travis Pastrana is a force to be reckoned with because of
his skills and dedication to driving sports, but things have changed since his absence from rally. The cars are much faster than they were when he last competed
and the competition has gotten tighter. While everyone else has been working
hard to improve their rally skills, Pastrana was off working on his skills as a
NASCAR driver—which is an entirely different sport.
This year Bucky and Sverre are really improving their driving abilities and working
with the team to get their cars up to speed. Bucky, in particular, is showing
huge improvements since last year. It will be interesting to see what kind
of competition they can bring to the table for this year’s RallyCross events.
It's clear, though, that David Higgins is the leader of the
pack in the Subaru family because of his extensive knowledge of rally cars and
driving techniques. Without David, Subaru might not be in such a strong position
to win championships this year for both Rally America and RallyCross. Only time
will tell as the season progresses and the team gets more time on the road.
