Subaru wrapped up their national Share the Love Event and topped off their overall donations to select charities at $35 million for the 6th year of the project. That exceeds their goals they set out at the beginning of the Share the Love event for this year and we couldn’t be prouder to be a part of that. Local dealerships choose their own local charity to make a difference in the community and Adventure Subaru chose the Ozark Literacy Council. We were proud to donate $10,000 to the Ozark Literacy Council this year.

We have to thank our customers for being a part of this huge donation—over 30% of our customers chose the Ozark Literacy Council as their charity of choice during the Share the Love Event. $10,000 can go a long way in our local community to help more residents of our area of the state to learn to read and increase the value of their lives. Learning to read is often an overlooked goal but we’ve learned that our customers care deeply about improving the overall community here in Northwest Arkansas.

In previous years, Subaru donated around $5 million to charities across the country, $250 for each vehicle purchased to the charity the customer chooses out of a selection of charities. This year, however, Subaru donated double that at $10 million because of the increased sales of Subaru vehicles. The 43-day long Share the Love event was record setting in the number of vehicle sales and that is great news for everyone, not just Subaru.

When you buy a Subaru vehicle, you’re supporting a company that believes in giving back.
