Jennifer Geiger wasn't wowed by the new Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid. The Cars.com reviewer found the hybrid loud, both in engine noise and in its color -- she is not a fan of Plasma Green Pearl. The multimedia center has no Home button and only one seat back has a map pocket. She'd go with the non-hybrid Crosstrek.
But if you prefer a hybrid, you might pay more attention to the things she liked about the car:
- It's an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety top safety pick.
- It got five stars for safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
- Lots of cargo space, including a waterproof tray and grocery hooks.
- It's comfortable, easy to get in and out of, and seats five.
- It handles well, with "a solid, grounded feel even while cornering."
You can't please everyone. But we're glad to know that even reviewers who aren't excited by a Subaru vehicle give it a review that most carmakers would consider a great review.
And it does come in other colors.
