July is
National Blueberry Month, National Hot Dog Month, National Ice Cream Month. It’s no wonder that July is also National Anti-Boredom Month. Basically, July is the month when you should go out and do anything that is awesome and exciting, and a Subaru can get you there.
  • Go camping – This is a perfect opportunity to drive down some rutted-out backcountry roads and find your new secret spot. Be sure to bring some hot dogs to celebrate National Hot Dog Month!
  • Find a new swimming hole – There are lots of rivers in the area, and accordingly lots of great swimming holes. Revisit your favorite swimming hole or mix it up and find a new one.
  • Take a road trip – Subaru makes great vehicles for taking on road trips. They are reliable, safe, efficient, plus they can go anywhere!
  • Go rock climbing – Grab your bouldering pad or gather your quickdraws. Climbing in July is hot, but with water and sunscreen it’s still great fun!
  • Go paddling – Typically in July the rivers are a little too low to float, but with the rain we’ve been getting you might be able to squeeze one last float in.
  • Pick blueberries – Maybe it’s been years, maybe you picked blueberries yesterday, maybe you’ve never picked blueberries. It’s loads of fun and cheap to do. Plus you can make a pie with the berries when you’re done, add a little ice cream, and celebrate National Blueberry Month and National Ice Cream Month at the same time!
  • Have a picnic – A checkered blanket and a picnic basket are all you need to make Yogi Bear jealous.
  • Play soccer – The rest of the world has caught World Cup fever, why not join them? Gather some friends and kick a ball around to beat boredom!
  • Bike ride – Grab your bicycle and hit the Ale Trail. It includes 7 breweries in Fayetteville, Springdale, and Rogers, most of which are practically on the bike trail.
  • Fly a kite – An old school classic. It doesn’t have explosions, ray guns, or fat bass lines, but kites are still a great way to pass the time!
  • Play in the rain – When July heat sets in, a refreshing rainstorm is a welcome thing.
  • Catch fireflies –Another summertime classic. It’s just as much fun as you remember.

July is National Anti-Boredom Month and that’s a perfect excuse to get out and have some fun!
