Subaru is committed to safe driving experiences for all
members of your family, including your dogs. A few months ago, Subaru teamed up
with the Center for Pet Safety to find out what harnesses were safe for use by
dogs and found that none of them could keep your four-legged pal safe in a car
accident. One company, however, decided to step up and improve their product.

After rigorous testing of dog harnesses available on the market, Sleepypod’s Clickit Harness was the only one that met the criteria set out by Subaru and the Center for Pet Safety. Throughout the research, Subaru and the Center for Pet Safety did a lot of tests, not just tests to see how successful the dog safety products were at keeping dogs unharmed in a crash. One test in particular asked some owners of well-behaved therapy dogs to use different models to see how easy they were to use. A lot of owners found that dog harnesses were difficult to use. That information went directly back to the manufacturers so they could improve their products.
Sleepypod did just that—they took the suggestions from the study into account and changed their design to meet standards to keep animals safe.
