Thanksgiving Day is over, but there’s still a whole weekend ahead of us to spend time with family and friends. It’s the perfect time to get some rest and relaxation before the holiday rush. Why not get out of the house and enjoy some time with family?

  • Take a walk

Go for a drive to somewhere you’ve never been and go for a walk with the family. After Thursday's feasting, it’s a good idea to breathe in some fresh air and get some exercise! We love trails around Fayetteville but you can also enjoy something further afield, like a hike to Hawksbill Crag or out around the Buffalo River area. Since many of the leaves are already gone, you'll get to enjoy the views fully.

  • Try Disc Golf

Never played disc golf before? Grab a few Frisbees and head out to one of the many local disc golf courses, like the one at Lake Fayetteville or the Jones Center. The rules are simple-- much like mini golf. Give everyone a Frisbee or two and take turns trying to reach the “hole.” It’s a fun way to get out with family and incite some friendly family competition.

  • Just go for a drive

Bundle up and go for a drive. Even if you’ve lived in Northwest Arkansas your whole life, there are bound to be streets you’ve never driven before -- or wait until sundown and enjoy the Lights of the Ozarks from the comfort of your Subaru.

We hope you have a great time this Thanksgiving weekend with friends and family.
