Piling into your car tomorrow on Thanksgiving to go visit family? The last few days the weather predictions have changed back and forth between snow, rain, and freezing slush for many areas near Northwest Arkansas. We can remember Thanksgivings in the past where we had to drive in not-so-great conditions to enjoy the holiday with friends and family. Driving a Subaru means that there’s little to hold you back from celebrating the holidays with your family.
Subaru’s proactive all-wheel drive systems, which are standard
on all of our vehicles excluding the sporty BRZ, make it safer to drive in
conditions where you might lose grip. If conditions are safe to drive, you
might still run into a patch of ice or snow. Subaru’s drive system makes it
easy to stay the course to grandmother’s house, even when conditions aren’t
exactly the greatest. Watch this video to learn about Subaru’s all-wheel drive
system:
Instead of stressing out about whether you’ll be able to
make it to your family for Thanksgiving or winter holidays when conditions
might turn slippery, you can spend your time worrying about whether or not your
turkey or side dishes will make it alright to dinner.
One recommendation is to put the side dishes in the back of
the vehicle, inside of a box, especially in Subarus that have a tough plastic
floor made for spills. The box will keep your dish from sliding around and
tipping over and Subaru’s tough floors will keep any spills contained. If you’re
bringing the pets, however, it’s probably a good idea to keep them away from
the turkey unless you want a different
kind of turkey disaster.
Have a happy Thanksgiving!
