There are some big things on the horizon this week for Subaru. The New York Auto Show starts on Wednesday and Subaru's planned for two big reveals. While we're still waiting to hear a word on a new concept car that could change the face of the Subaru line up, we've got news about one addition we know you'll be interested in right now.

Subaru has finally answered the call for a hybrid model after years of research and development with a new XV Crosstrek Hybrid. The popular XV Crosstrek is a perfect choice for a hybrid model but the details are slim right now on EPA highway MPG numbers as well as stats on power and other output numbers. What we know so far is that it'll have the best numbers on the market and is built in a zero-landfill plant. We do know that it will feature Subaru's impressive Symeterical AWD system along with a Subaru-engineered hybrid system. It's shaping up to be a pretty impressive vehicle for the ecologically conscious.

So far plans are that it'll go on sale this fall so if you're in the market for a hybrid car, you should wait at least a few months more to test-drive the XV Crosstrek Hybrid.
