MotorTrend has been testing out the Subaru BRZ Limited for months now and have loved the car and its performance so far. Other reviewers have been doing long-term reviews, which involve keeping the BRZ for periods sometimes exceeding a year, but MotorTrend's new reviews give us some useful info right now.
To recap what we've see so far, the BRZ is well equipped to
handle everything MotorTrend has thrown at it. During the first few months,
MotorTrend put the BRZ through its paces for an intense competition for Car of
the Year. While the BRZ didn't come in first in that competition, it did well for a car of
its price range, losing out only to a $100,000 car.

The BRZ proves to be a lot of bang for the
buck, even when matched up to vehicles well out of the everyday price range.
The MotorTrend reviewer expounds in his first
update that the BRZ handled the tests "like a champ" and had no
problems afterwards. But the second
update speaks more to the BRZ as
a practical sports car with ample room in the back. The reviewer was
surprised how much can fit into the BRZ when the rear seats are folded flat.
By the third
and fourth
updates, the BRZ makes it out onto the track with new tires more
adapted to grippy take offs and does well in track and autocross events. Overall,
it's a great sports car, even though it's much cheaper than comparable
cars.
