Richard & Theresa Harris of Bella Vista just bought a brand new 2013 Subaru Outback.  One of the things they shared with us is that they're going to make a rule for the grandchildren: no eating in the car.

Subarus don't come with rules, of course -- we're ready for any kind of adventure, including eating fast food between school and soccer practice or having a picnic on the way to the top of a mountain. But lots of drivers have their own road rules, in addition to the legal rules of the road.

We asked around, and here are some we heard:
  • No eating in the car.
  • No smoking in the car.
  • No changing the radio station without permission.
  • No throwing up in the car -- not sure how this one gets enforced, but the driver who mentioned it says it's a rule for dogs.
  • No leaving trash in the car.
  • No leaving a shared car with an empty gas tank.
We're also happy to share with you the Official Rules for Shotgun

How about you? Does your Subaru have rules?
