Nobody’s perfect. Michael Jordan passed the ball to the wrong team every now and then, Shakespeare wrote some stinkers, and Beethoven probably wrote an awful song after his girlfriend broke up with him. Even when you’re the best at what you do, you will make mistake every once in a while. People are prone to error.
That being said, a recall has been released for the 2015 Subaru Outback. After getting rave reviews for performance and styling, a problem has been found in the last place you’d look.

The Subaru Outback recall affects fifty-six vehicles equipped with a Subaru accessory trailer hitch. If you drive a 2015 Outback with a hitch, the assembly may not be torqued properly. If the recall applies to your vehicle, you run the risk of losing your trailer while driving down the road.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said, "During installation, the trailer hitch mounting nuts may have been overtightened, potentially resulting in failure of the trailer hitch mounting studs… The mounting nuts may not provide sufficient force to remain attached to the studs or the studs themselves might break.”
Basically, you could be driving down the road towing your boat, couch, all of your belongings, or whatever, and the next thing you know, you’re not. What was going to be a nice day on the river, or unpacking your new place has turned into an exchange of insurance info.
The recall affects 2015 Outbacks that were manufactured from January 22, 2014, to August 18, 2014.
If you think the recall applies to your vehicle, be sure not to use the hitch until you can bring your vehicle in to the dealership. A trailer decoupling from your vehicle can lead to damages or injury. As of now, there are no reports of accident or injury due to this recall.
