What do you get when you put a bunch of car experts and reviewers into the all-new 2015 Subaru Legacy with their significant others? Pretty darn realistic family and commuter driving situations. So that’s exactly what Subaru did with their latest review session for car reviewers and the reviewers were pleasantly surprised with the new Legacy’s capabilities.

For Peter Braun of Digital Trends, the adventure of driving the sedan started with his wife’s makeup bag exploding in the car after they transferred it from the airport to the Subaru following a bumpy flight. But, in true Subaru form, the Legacy came out of the disaster unmarred. It’s great assurance if you have children, pets, or messy tendencies but still need your car to look great. Those unexpected company lunches with the boss come to mind. The Legacy, Braun writes, is a sturdy, reliable -- but not boring -- new take on the commuter car.

But don’t be fooled by the Legacy’s model class competitors. This commuter sedan is anything but boring to drive. With “communicative and precise” steering, torque vectoring to keep you in a fast curve, and a responsive driving style, the Legacy isn’t a car that makes you want to “jam a fork in your leg after an hour of driving,” to use Braun’s words. Instead, the WRX similarities help give the Legacy a bit of fun that’s missing from so many boring sedans.

Braun was also pleased with the upgraded interior, especially with the modern infotainment system that will soon make its way to other Subaru models. As a commuter car, it’s also quite roomy with enough cargo room for all you need, plus comfort for other passengers.

Test drive the 2015 Legacy for yourself and see what a difference Subaru makes in a commuter car.
