The Subaru Forester has won yet another accolade to add to its growing wall of great reviews.

ExtremeTech.com, a website specializing in new technology and the most cutting edge news in the tech gadget industry, awarded the Forester the title of the best small SUV due to the Subaru's new EyeSight system that makes the car the best tech gadget on the road.

With complaints only  about the undersized screen of the navigation system, ExtremeTech.com, says the Forester is a near landslide victory for Subaru with some "undeniably great tech." In terms of having a fully capable car with innovative safety features in the form of EyeSight, for a most add on option price of $2,400, it's well worth it, especially when compared to comparable options on other vehicles.

The reviewers really loved the ACC, or Adaptive Cruise Control, that is perfect for ensuring a safe distance between the Forester and other vehicles. Forester drivers with vehicles outfitted with the EyeSight system can use on their vehicle to ensure they're continuing with the flow of traffic without getting to close to the car in front of them. The system allows drivers to set a desired speed and a desired following distance and as they drive along the road, the EyeSight system maintains the desired speed if there are no other cars in front of the Forester. If the Forester approaches a car going slower, the vehicle slows down automatically to match the desired following distance behind the lead vehicle. If the lead vehicle comes to a stop, the EyeSight system will stop the Forester at the desired following distance. A simple tap on the gas pedal or the cruise control button starts the car moving again when it's safe to do so.

While the system is intended for highway driving, the reviewers for ExtremeTech.com loved its applications in stop and go traffic near New York City and they rated the abilities of the system over others. With two cameras, the review says, it produces more accurate results than one-camera systems from other manufacturers.

If you'd like to see how the EyeSight system can help you drive safer, come take a test drive and try out the new system.
