Ready to shed those winter blues and get geared up for spring? Spring fever is already spreading throughout Northwest Arkansas! And you know with spring comes spring break, the first official opportunity to take a vacation and a great time to just hang out locally, relax and have a staycation. If you do stay local, there is plenty to do and places to visit in Northwest Arkansas. At Adventure Subaru in Fayetteville, we love springtime with all of nature budding and coming back to life. Seen below, check out some helpful tips on how to get your staycation on and enjoy it to the fullest.

SPAS: One way to kickstart your staycation is to go to the spa! There's nothing wrong about getting completely relaxed and prepared before embarking on your spectacular staycation, and there are several professional spas throughout the Fayetteville-Rogers area. Choose one that is a member of the International Spa Association (iSPA) and adheres to the iSPA code of conduct. Start out with a soothing, detoxifying steam and a cup of herbal tea, and then move on to a regimen of therapeutic treatments. You will feel rejuvenated in no time!

LOCAL EVENTS: Now that you are rested up and relaxed, it's time to get out and explore the happenings around our community. If you love the outdoors and are an avid runner, there is the 2020 Nutty Runner 5K on Saturday, March, 14th. An event that combines the pleasure of great beer with the benefits of outdoor exercise, the Nutty Runner 5K features pints of Columbus House Brewery’s popular Nutty Runner Nut Brown Ale at every mile marker and at the finish. Just be sure to have a designated driver after the event. Are you more of a reading enthusiast who loves literary events? Then check out the annual Wizard Way of The Ozarks at the Fayetteville Town Center the weekend of March 21-22, where you can celebrate your favorite magical literary characters and the worlds surrounding them at this fun festival.

POINTS OF INTEREST: One thing about Northwest Arkansas we never get tired of is the scenic beauty, and one of the best ways to take in all the beautiful Ozark splendor in is a train ride. The Arkansas & Missouri Railroad passenger train service offers “A Window Seat to History.” Take this wonderful opportunity to travel in the style of a bygone era while enjoying the leisurely elegance of real train travel through the mountains and valleys of Northwest Arkansas. If you are interested in the biological wonders of Arkansas, head south and stop by the Arkansas River Valley Nature Center in Fort Smith. Besides being a favorite spot to fish and picnic, the center also features exhibits and information about the surrounding environment and the lake. There is also a gift shop on the premises, so be sure to grab a souvenir!

Creating your own spring break staycation can be a lot of fun and provide many opportunities to visit new places, have new experiences and get acquainted with some old favorite haunts that you haven’t had the time to visit in awhile. Plus, you have the opportunity to share these experiences with family or friends. There are plenty of wonderful places to check out in Northwest Arkansas.
