Things to do This Fall in Northwest Arkansas | Adventure Subaru

Here in beautiful Northwest Arkansas, there is no shortage of fun things to do in the fall. The Ozarks are painted red and yellow in a breathtaking display; the crisp, cool weather is perfect for outdoor adventures, and people are buzzing with excitement about the upcoming holidays. There’s no way to cover them all, but the Adventure Subaru team came up with a list of some of our favorite fall activities in the area. Check them out below!

Fall Farmer’s Markets

If you haven’t been to one of Northwest Arkansas’ fall farmer’s markets yet, don’t waste any more time! It’s a must-do activity around here, at least once or twice this season. Whether you’re in Bentonville, Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Eureka Springs or even Siloam Springs, there’s most likely a farmer’s market close by. You can explore all kinds of home-grown fruits and vegetables, fresh flowers, handmade goods, herbal remedies, live music, and more delightful finds.

Fall Diversity Weekend

One fabulous way to celebrate the fall in Eureka Springs this year is to attend Fall Diversity Weekend, which falls on November 2-4. The event will take place in Downtown Eureka Springs. Hotels, restaurants and nightclubs in the area will join in celebration with the LGBT community, offering a wide variety of entertainment including live music, dance parties, glam drag shows, costume contests and more.

Kessler Mountain Jam

Calling all mountain bikers! You definitely won’t want to miss the new Kessler Mountain Jam, held in Fayetteville on November 3-4. Formerly known as the Slaughter Pen Jam, Kessler Mountain Jam is a mountain bike festival with incredible live music, delicious food, and a variety of family-friendly activities. You don’t have to be a professional rider to make an appearance, either. This event is open to all riding abilities and sanctioned by USA Cycling.

Ozark Folk Festival

The annual Ozark Folk Festival is in its 71st year! Head on up to Eureka Springs from November 7-10 to celebrate America’s longest continuously running annual folk festival. You will be able to enjoy the Barefoot Ball, free music in Basin Springs park, Hedgehoppers, concert in the Aud, and all kinds of great folk music and dance.

Back 40 Fall for All

We just can’t resist an excuse to hit the trails! If you feel the same way, mark your calendar for the Back 40 Fall for All event on November 10. This community festival celebrates the Back 40 Trails in Bella Vista, which are ideal for biking, hiking, running, and generally enjoying nature. There will be activities lined up throughout the day starting in the morning, with plenty of tasty treats and music.

Pumpkin Patches

If you’re looking for fun activities to do with the kiddos, Northwest Arkansas is a great place to be. You can find a number of pumpkin patches, hay mazes and other festive fall happenings across the region. If you want a good mix of different autumn attractions, go visit Farmland Adventures in Springdale for the day. They offer a giant corn maze, a pumpkin patch, pony rides, a petting zoo, a wagon ride, and a kids’ play area. It’s the perfect place to create some lasting family memories.

Take in the Scenery

No matter what you’re doing this fall in Northwest Arkansas, you’re always in a great place to take in the scenery. Take your Subaru out to the Pig Trail to gain a new perspective on your home state, or find a cozy spot on the trails set up a picnic and admire the colors of the fall. Whether you make it a weekend camping trip or just a few moments of checking out the changing trees, don’t forget to take in the allure of beautiful NWA.
